Meet The New Faces In CLL

CLL is excited to announce some new additions to the League roster!

Daniel Bertani - Tournament Director

CLL is excited to welcome the Daniel as our new Tournament Director. In this position, Daniel will oversee all operations related to in house and invitational tournaments.

Daniel played baseball for 10 years with Coquitlam Little League and has been both an umpire and assistant coach. He is currently studying Sport Management at Brock University where he also serves as the associate team manager for the Brock Badgers baseball team. Daniel is eager to continue building his experience in the sport industry and is committed to contributing to the success of Coquitlam Little League.

Alex Graham - Mini-Minor on-field Coordinator

CLL welcome Alex as the Mini-Minor Coordinator. In this role, he will oversee the program directly on the field.

Alex is a life long baseball player and has a number of years coaching as well. He grew up playing for the North Shore Twins, Vancouver Cannons and then the UBC Thunderbirds. He dabbled in coaching at the little league level and for 5 Tool baseball, but his current day job is in software development. Last year he was the coach of the mini-minor Mariners with his son Kole. Alex believes balancing fun with competition is the best way to grow the younger generation of ball players and he looks forward to coordinating this season!

Ryan Blight - Technical Director

Ryan was a player for CLL in 2009-2011. He is very excited to be the Technical Director for CLL for the 2026 season. He is the Head Coach for the Coquitlam Reds in the PBL and is heading into his 4th season with them. He is also a coach at Bullpen Baseball Academy. Ryan’s playing career was cut short due to Covid at Douglas College, growing youth baseball across BC has been a passion of his since then.

Steve Tickner to Coquitlam Hall of Fame

Long Time CLL Volunteer Steve “Tick” Tickner is being inducted in the Coquitlam Sports Hall Of Fame

Steve Tickner began coaching with Coquitlam Little League in 1990 and joined the Board of Directors in 1991. Over the next 32 years, he served in many roles, including President, always putting the players first. Known to many as “Tick,” he embodied the true spirit of Little League—dedication, community, and a love of the game. Remarkably, he started before his own children were involved and continued long after they had moved on. On June 10, Tick will be inducted into the Coquitlam Sports Hall of Fame as a builder, a fitting honor for his lasting impact on generations of young athletes.
